This Privacy Policy explains how Lemunli Inc. ("lemunli," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your personal information when you use our platform. This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms and Conditions.

We comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including Quebec's Law 25 and PIPEDA. For users in the United States, including California residents, we also acknowledge rights under applicable state laws, including the CCPA.

2. Information We Collect

• Account information — name, email address, password, and language preference
• Location information — your general country, provided by you or inferred from your IP address
• Currency preference — the currency you select (CAD, USD, GBP, or EUR) to view recipe price-per-serving and total price estimates, with more countries coming soon
• Billing information — your credit card's billing country, detected automatically through our payment provider (Stripe) to determine your subscription price in CAD, USD, GBP, or EUR (billed in USD if your billing country is not one of these), and payment details processed securely (we do not store your full card details)
• Nutrition profile data — the min/max values you set for different nutrients (%DV, % nutrient mass, or SI units), used solely to calculate a compliance score between your profile and each recipe
• Menu and planning data — recipes, how-tos, and books added to your Menu, custom tags/sections, calendar days, and generated ingredient lists
• Recipes you follow or save — cooks, books, and recipes you follow, save, or organize
• Cook profile information — for contributing cooks/chefs: public name, photo, bio, and published recipes
• Communications — messages you send us, including at legal@lemunli.com

3. How We Use Your Information

• Create and manage your account
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Determine your subscription price based on your credit card's billing country (CAD, USD, GBP, or EUR, with USD as the default for other billing countries)
• Display recipe price-per-serving and total price estimates in your selected currency (CAD, USD, GBP, or EUR, with more countries coming soon)
• Calculate nutrition compliance scores and let you filter recipes accordingly
• Maintain your Menu, calendar, tags, sections, and saved/followed content
• Generate ingredient lists from your Menu or from individual recipe pages
• Display public cook profiles for contributing cooks and chefs
• Provide, maintain, and improve the platform
• Communicate with you about your account, billing, or policy changes
• Comply with legal obligations
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, or technical problems

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share it with:

• Payment processors (Stripe), to process transactions
• Service providers who help us operate the platform (hosting, email delivery, analytics), under confidentiality obligations
• Other users, where you choose to make information public (e.g. a cook's public profile and recipes)
• Legal authorities, if required by law or valid legal process
• A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to the same privacy commitments

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information — including your nutrition profile, Menu, tags, and saved content — for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is legally required.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you, including your nutrition profile and Menu data
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your personal information
• Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format

7. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information — including nutrition and payment-related data — against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Data Transfers

lemunli operates from Canada. If you access the platform from outside Canada, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Canada or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Children's Privacy

lemunli is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us at legal@lemunli.com.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email, consistent with our Terms and Conditions. Continued use of lemunli after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
